just some stuff..

i made a new about me on myspace, so i figured i would post it here. okayyyyy.

my obsession with music:

i'm absolutely in love with music. there will never be a time when i'm not thinking about it, listening to it, singing it, or making it. i'm very proud of my collection, even though some of it is illegal. we can't all be perfect, right? i listen to indie, emo (even though i despise the term), alternative rock, pop-punk, punk, screamo, etc. i don't listen to anything that is played on the radio more than once a month. i can't stand rap and/or hip-hop. those people just are not musicians to me. if you want me to listen to something you'll think i like, i'll probably give it a try. music has gotten me through so much in my life, and without it, i am nothing. you can find me obsessively checking my last.fm page every day. i love it there. band is a huge part of my life. i'm a geek when it comes to that. i'm currently in marching band. this year's show is moulin rouge. come check it out at a football game near you!

my lifestyle:

i'm smart, and like to keep it that way. freshman year proved that with perfect 4.0 all the way through. i'm vegetarian, yes. i have been one for over a year now. i don't do it to be part of a certain 'scene'. i do it to be healthy, and to pay respect to all living things. if you ask me why or when or any questions like that, i will not answer you. i've tried to be straight-edge a few times, and have failed. i smoke occasionally. i have a drink of alchohol every so often. i'm not going to portray myself as perfect, because i know i am not. i am not ashamed of anything i have ever done. i have no regrets. i would do nothing over. high school has opened my eyes to a lot of new things. i'm a little anti-social in the beginning, but give me time and i'll come around. i'm willing to talk to a lot of new people, which i would not do in earlier years. i'm a sophomore now. just between me and you, i'm very happy i'm no longer a freshman.

important to know:

i've met two bands that have changed my life, chiodos and bayside (minus anthony raneri). i gave derrick frost a bracelet, but believe that jason hale is now wearing it. speaking of jason hale, i have an intense love for him (and his barely there shorts). i believe stephen christian is one of the most amazing musicians and people alive today. i will always treasure the email he sent me, as it has helped tremendously through tough times. one of the most amazing experiences of my life was going to warped tour '07, even though it didn't turn out the way i wanted. maybe next year. i read alternative press religiously. i like to pick fights for fun.
