What facial feature grabs me first? Probably a person's eyes. If the eyes are shielded by glasses, or an insane amount of hair, than probably a smile. I love eyes that are huge, piercing, as if they are trying to pry into your soul. Any colour of eye does the trick, but lighter colours tend to get me faster. Smiles -- what can I say? Huge smiles with some cute little dimples are adorable; white teeth are a plus. Freckles can be amazingly cute as well. Girls or guys, those things turn me on. No lie. I often find girls extremely adorable and/or 'hot'. No, I'm not a lesbian. No, as far as I know, I'm not bisexual. I just happen to love cute people, despite gender. Problem? Deal.
Photo 14. It's a picture of my sister as a baby, one year old. Her back is to the camera but she's staring into a mirror so you can see her eyes and nose in the reflection. The mirror is located in a dusty corner, cobwebs cleary evident. -
The photo makes me feel... I don't know. For some reason, I've always felt as if my parents took more photos of her as a baby/toddler and whatnot. Obviously, they would, because she was their first. The photo albums are just filled with her and have a few of me here and there. Usually, if there is one of me, she's there too. It sort of makes me feel as though as the years have went on and we have changed and developed they (my parents) aren't always there for the cute little moments anymore. They don't capture the simple things. Back in the early years, a picture like this... they thought it was the cutest thing ever. I've tooken mirror pictures before, and I know they wouldn't find them as cute/impressive as this one. I guess there is just something about babies. I try to stay away from thoughts like 'oh, they are not proud of me anymore.' I hope they are proud of me. I hope that they do pay attention to the little things. Whether it's passing a test I thought I was going to fail or nailing a song that I've always wanted to sing. I just want them to be there.
This is a new thing I'm doing. Everyday, or every few days, I will pick a prompt from Creative Writing Prompts and write. I need to improve. I need to keep my mind off of things. Thank you, Kate, for picking today's number. There may be more than one however, because I won't be online tomorrow to write one.
287: Use these two metaphors in a poem:
'an inch of scorn' and 'a cradle of beliefs'. - first off: scorn = open dislike and disrespect or derision often mixed with indignation, in this writing.
my mind is like a cradle of beliefs.
everything had to be done by the book.
the way i was taught by my grandfathers and peers.
no mistakes --
you never know when someone is watching you.
like everyone and everything --
the ruler can't possibly measure an inch of scorn.
you screw up and you're nothing.
disowned by the ones that love(d) you most.
so much pressure to do well.
when's the test?
can i just break the mold a little bit?
i need to spread my limbs and fly.
i need to do something... wrong.
imperfection is perfect in my book.
my mind was like a cradle of beliefs.
now, it's just a cradle of me.
Eh, I don't really like it. That's the first time I've written in God knows how long. I guess I'll do another one, just for the sake of it. Let's get off on a good start.
