Dear Mayday Parade,

You are an incredibly talented group of guys. Let's just get that out of the way right now, before I start ranting. However, after watching your live set from the Cleveland stop of the Emery tour on YeboTV, I must point out some things.

1. I really dislike Jeremy's voice. I have never noticed that until now. Some of the things he does just bother me. I would much rather have Jake sing all the back-up vocals, or just get Brooks or Alex to do it. I'm sure one of them has a decent set of pipes.
2. Speaking of Jake, when he does sing I can barely hear him. When I do hear him, it sounds like he's shouting his little lungs out. Please, turn up his microphone. He has an amazing voice, and I would like to hear more of it.
3. Either something is wrong with Derek's microphone, or you have a bad sound guy, because it cuts out all the time. I want to hear him continuously throughout the song, not just bits and pieces.
4. It's so hard to get a decent picture of Brooks because of his huge, shaggy mane. You should tie it back one of these days. It might look cute, and it would be easier to snap a pic of you in action.
5. This has nothing to do with a live show, but you should probably get in the studio and write some new material soon. I know that you are pretty booked up through summer with both the Explosions in Your Pants and Warped Tours. However, I think you should definitely get on that soon. All of your beloved fans would love some new stuff, I think.

Despite all of this, I still love the heck out of you. Seeing you on April 27th with My American Heart and the Graduate will probably be one of the best nights of my life. Make it good and play Just Say You're Not Into It, or don't, as long as you rock the fucking roof off the intersection.

Love,
Allison
