When I hear the word chalk, I am instantly returned to my days in elementary school. There are a lot of memories associated with this word, but there are a few that mean most. For example, the date was always written on the board in that white, dusty, substance. That day it was September 11, 2001. Fourth grade, Mr. Smith's class. I remember it so clearly. When the teachers came in and told us to turn on the TV because something happened in New York - something bad...
